India Finance Minister Leads Delegation to Singapore for Key Ministerial Roundtable
India's Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will lead a delegation to Singapore on August 20 for the 4th ministerial roundtable, focusing on advanced manufacturing, digitalisation, healthcare, skills and sustainability.
Sitharaman will be joined by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State Jitin Prasada. The Indian ministers will meet Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong as part of discussions aimed at advancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
A 70-member business delegation will also participate in the engagement and hold business-to-business meetings, adding a strong industry focus to the ministerial discussions.
Singapore remains India's top source of foreign direct investment, with investments reaching USD 19.8 billion in FY 2025-26.
The August 20 roundtable builds on previous India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtables and will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation across key economic and strategic sectors. The discussions are expected to further advance the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and Singapore.
